My Fall Forever 21 Haul
Fall fashion is my spending kryptonite- even more so than makeup. The majority of what I sped on clothing in a year is spent during the fall months. Every Fall I tell myself that I don’t “need” anything (I mean. do any of us really need the majority of what we buy?) but I always wind up adding to my wardrobe anyway. This fall - like last fall - I will be evaluating and editing my wardrobe as I go. My goal is that if one pieces comes in then one should leave. Sometimes I am successful with this and sometimes I’m not.
Forever 21 has surprisingly become my go-to spot when I am looking for affordable cloths for work as well as for casual days. They have really changed their overall style-direction over the last few years and they have a lot of pieces that are, dare I say, sophisticated. Not to mI recently picked up a “few” and by a few, I mean a lot, of items for Fall and wanted to share with you all what I picked up and how I plan to wear them/or have been wearing them.
I am a sucker for all things velvet and I am also a sucker for wide leg pants so this was a no-brainer for me. These are so soft on - I almost feel like I am wearing comfy joggers. I loved these so much I got them both the brown and the citron color (here)
I was in the market for a new longer length black blazer- I live in them during the fall/winter months and they make every look a bit more smart and put together. This one is soft - almost like sweatshirt material - and thin enough to layer thicker pieces underneath.
Skirts like this both intrigue and scare me. As a curvy woman I am always a bit suspicious of clothing that looks like it will cling in all the wrong place. But this skirt was green my favorite color- and a midi so I had to give it a shot. It lays really nicely on the body. I like it so much that I have added the coordinating top to my cart.
What’s not to love about this? It’s perfect! I’ve worn it already with a turtleneck and ankle boots and felt so fly. I bought it in the khaki color as well. The things I love about this dress is how versatile it is. You can wear it as a dress, or open it and wear it as a vest with wide leg pants and a sweater or blouse. Alas- this dress is currently sold out but Forever 21 stocks on the regular so check back on the site for it!
It’s purple, it’s velvet and it’s a bodysuit. Need I say more? I love a good statement piece and this bodysuit is most definitely that!
I love a good bodycon dress. My favorite way to war them is with slouchy blazer or long-line cardigans. I wore this dress for the first time this week and I was so impressed with how comfy it was. It’s also lined and that with the waffle knit made it nice and cozy.
I almost didn’t purchase this cardigan and then I almost returned it when I received it. Why? Because I have a cardigan that is very similar to it already in my wardrobe. But when I took this out of the packaging and looked at it I loved the color. Which from afar looks like a regular old tan shade but up close is actually a mix of pink and gray. It’s lovely. And so I decided to keep it and I wore it with the dress above. They look really cute together.
I generally steer clear of anything with the word “crop” in it but this was so cute an I had a feeling it would work really well with a high waist skirt or pants. It does!
I knew I would love this dress the moment I saw it and I was right. The material is a sweatshirt material and so it doesn’t cling in weird spots, it’s flattering and is super comfy. It’s like sneakily wearing sweats while looking perfectly professional. And I got tons of compliments on it the first time I wore it. It’s currently sold out (sorry guys!) but like I said above - keep checking back and add your name to the wait list - things go fast on the Forever 21 website and this will insure that you know when things you want have been restocked.
Forever 21 is my go to place for wardrobe staples. I get my camis, tights and legging from their site. And my turtlenecks. I live in turtlenecks in the fall and winter. And what I love about Forever 21 is their turtleneks and staples pieces are so inexpensive you can really stock up if you want. I already own quite a few turtlenecks but I always try to buy a new black and gray one each season since they get worn and washed the most. I got this one in the charcoal gray and black.
And that’s my haul from Forever 21. Not too crazy. but that site is a problem for me. I always find something I love/want. And because the clothes are relatively affordable I am really good at justifying my purchases lol! Just putting this post together, I found myself on their website perusing. Don’t worry I didn’t buy anything. I just added a bunch of stuff to my wish list and cart and then clicked out. As you do.
What item or items do you like best from my haul? Let me know in the comments!
