The Mod Woman Fall Fashion & Home Wish List
Fall looks and feels a bit different this year for me and I am sure most other people as well. I’m still in pseudo self-imposed lockdown. I step out for coffee a few times a week and to go on walks and to visit my Mom once a week or so. But that’s about it. Having said that there are still things that may my heart quicken and that I have my eye on. I think it’s important to not lose interest in the things you enjoy and to still have desires in life.
Fashion
This year has been a transition for me in regards to my sense of style. I live in leggings and sportswear and I’ve actually been enjoying it. I’ve been investing in quality pieces that can be worn together in a way that reads as an “outfit”. I’ve also been looking for more quality jeans to invest in. Before it didn’t make sense to invest in these types of items. I couldn’t wear any of it to work. Having the freedom to essentially wear whatever I want at any time has been an interesting adjustment. What I have been focusing on more are quality shoes and my designer bag love has been reignited after laying dormant for years.
First up on my list are the Helka Mules from Walkon by Tijin. Walkon is Tijin’s new clothing and homewares brand. These mules have been calling my name for months. I probably won’t be able to wear them for very long before the weather becomes cold but I still want them and can see myself pairing them with wide leg jeans or pants and sweaters. I have been slighltly obsessed (okay more than slightly) with Tory Burch’s handbags lately. I purchased two this past summer (one new, an d one used) and have been loving them. She just came out with her Fall collection and…I want about three of the bags. LOL. I am only showing one on my wishlist because restraint. The Tory Burch Kira Pebbled Small Crossbody Bag in Poblano was my choice to add to the wishlist. Green is my favorite color and I love this shade of green for the colder months. It’s small but not too small with decent sized compartments inside.
The Jefferey Campbell Hurricane Waterproof Boots are a practical addition with a nod to fashion. I need new rainboots. And they might as well be cute (insert shrug emjoi). Same goes for the Madewell Ivy Embossed Croc Chelsea Boots. I noticed a gap in my shoe wardrobe last winter. I didn’t have boots for when it was super cold but not particularly snowy. These boots look sturdy and warm. And cute. The Demellier London Mini Venice first hit my radar when Meghan Markle carried it during a Royal event in 2017. It’s such a classic looking bag and can be worn two ways. I have a picture of the navy color posted above, but I am leaning towards the Chocolate Grain color as I feel I would get more use out of that color and it looks very chic.
Home
It’s cozy season and all I am thinking about are easy to make my space even more cozy than it already it is. Ultimate coziness level must be achieved. But I’m also not looking to add too much. I would like to add one morer pillow to the mountain of throw pillows on my bed and it’s the Adie Felted Lumbar Pillow from Anthropologie. Perfect fabric and color to match my bedroom aesthetic. I’ve decluttered a ton of candles this year and will be decluttering even more. All of them are old Bath & Body Works candles. I have simply stopped liking them. I’m searching for more sophisticated and interesting scents for candles but I am also over having a hundred thousand candles in general. Instead I want to invest in one or two high quality candles with scents that are more elevated. On that list is the Diptyque Vervaine Candle. Lemon Verbena (Vervainve) is one of my favorite smells and I would love something that smells fresh and warm to light on cozy nights.
Everyone and their mother raves about their airfryers and I’ve been convinced that I need one as well. I’ve looked at a few but the GoWise USA Retro Air Fryer is the one that’s stolen my heart. It matches my pot and pan set and is just large enough for a tiny kitchen
And finally the number one thing on this ENTIRE list. I saved the best for last. A MacBook 13in Air. I not only want this but I need it. My current laptop is a dinosaur and it’s made blogging (something I enjoy) a chore as it takes forever to write posts on it. It’s the reason why I am not posting as much as I want to. It’s time to upgrade and I decided if I am going to spend the money on a laptop I should get what I really want. Hopefully I will be able to pick this up by December at the latest. I am holding out hope that I can find a good deal on it. Pray for me.
