My June Birthday Haul
I love a good haul. I like watching haul videos on YouTube and reading haul posts on blogs. I used to do them all the time on my old nail polish blog. And so for the fun of it I decided to do one for my birthday. My birthday was on June 8th and it was a great low-key but fun day . I even got a present. Which as we all know as you get older presents stop being a thing for the most part. The other items I purchased myself.
*Natasha Denona Sunrise Palette
I have been wanting to try Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette for ages. But the $129 price tags of her palettes always stopped me. Recently she came out with the Sunrise palette, a sister to her popular Sunset palette. The size of this one was smaller - and so was the price tag at $65. $65 isn’t cheap - but it isn’t $129! I’ve used the palette a handful of time and so far I absolutely love it. The shadows are pigmented and easy to blend. They don’t swatch very well though because they are quite powdery but don’t let that scare you of if you have your eye on it. It’s a great palette.
I did not buy these myself. Lol. They’ve been on my mental wish list for ages. And apparently men do actually listen to what you’re saying sometimes because my brother bought the for me as a birthday gift. He stated he remembered me talking about them a few a few times but that I wasn’t willing to spend the money on them. I think I was just as impressed that he had paid attention to that as I was for the gift itself! I’ve been using them everyday and love them. My brother is a die hard Droid person so it speaks to the quality of these that he recently broke down and bought a pair a pair for himself- and loves them.
*Anthropologie Woodblock Midi Dress
My summer dress obsession continues… seriously, I have a problem. They are just so easy and it’s a great way to look put together without having to do much. I’m all about minimum effort/maximum impact during the summer months. This dress I loved because it was rather unique and I loved the wooden button detailing. And it was on sale.
BB Dakota Jasmine Vine Chiffon Dress
I mentioned this dress in my Prime Wardrobe post. I wore it for the first time last week and got so many compliments on it. It’s flowy and pretty and you can dress it up or down. I wore it with my Converse sneakers to and from work and then swapped those out for platform sandals. And it looked great with both.
Kate Spade Cedar Street Lacey Wallet
This was a The Real Real find. Which is where I like top shop for higher end wallets and handbags. I had a credit and they were having a 20% off sale so it was a no-brainer. I also picked up a Kelly green Kate Spade Pebble Leather wallet. But I don’t know if I will be keeping it. I like this one better.
New Balance FuelCore Nergize v1 Training Shoe
I’m currently in physical therapy for Piriformis Muscle Syndrome. A tiny muscle I had never heard of until I got injured. It’s apparently a desk jockey injury. So…awesome. Anyway. I’ve been wanting a pair of decent training shoes to wear for my therapy sessions and found these on Amazon. They are comfy and lightweight which is perfect.
So…I didn’t got too crazy. But I definitely had a “treat yo’ self” month, There are still a few days left in June so I can’t promise I won’t be buying anything else lol.
