What To Binge Watch This Weekend on Netflix

What To Binge Watch This Weekend on Netflix

If you live in the Midwest or East Coast then all in likelihood you will be snowed in for the duration of the weekend. I have already placed my grocery order, and picked out some cozy jammies to wear. Honestly? i kind of love weekends like this. Everything kind of comes to a halt and everyone is forced to just slow the hell down.  One of the things I am looking forward to is a bit on Netflix binging. It's been awhile since I've had one and there are a millions shows that I need to catch up on (I still haven't seen the current season of Black Mirror...I know. Don't judge.) I have added a few new things to my list. Some new and some I simply haven't gotten around to yet.

Dark

A German series centering around the sudden disappearances of children in a small town. Set in 2019, the story also takes place in 1986 and 1953 via time travel. I love dark (no pun intended) sci-fi stuff like this!

The Crown

I am horribly, horribly late to this series that everyone and their mother raves about.  And I know I can't be the only one late to the party so I'm including it. I love British royal history so I'm kind of shocked at myself for not having started watching this sooner. And since I am a whole two seasons behind I have plenty to catch up on!

Godless

I am generally not into Westerns, but this one caught my eye because of who stars in it. Michelle Dockery (of Lady Mary of Downton Abbey fame) and Jeff Daniels stars in this tale about notorious criminal out for revenge against his protege who betrayed him. Dockery plays a hardened widow in a town run by mostly women who helps Griffin. It was named one of the year's ten best by Washington Post and Vanity Fair so I figure it's worth giving a shot.

I'm on the fence about this one. I have heard nothing but good things about it and it stars one of my faves, Alison Brie. But a show about a fictional 1980's professional women's wrestling circuit? I don't know. It doesn't sound exactly like my cup of tea but I maye be pleasantly surprised.

Have any of you watched these shows? What did you think of them? Let me know in the comments  - but no spoilers!
