What I Bought In the Sephora Summer Bonus Sale Event

What I Bought In the Sephora Summer Bonus Sale Event

Sephora decided to throw in an extra sale event to cap off the summer. I have to admit I was a bit salty about this since they will likely have their Fall bonus event in October. So I didn’t go crazy on this sale, I re-purchased a few skincare items and a few items that I’ve had my eye on for awhile.

Clockwise: Charlotte Tillbury The Icons Palette, $65; Dr. Dennis Gross Dew It Right Eye Gel, $48; Kevyn Aucoin Foundation Balm, $52; SuperGoop AcaiFusion Lip Balm, $9.50

*Charlotte Tillbury The Icons palette

I’ve had this palette on my wish list since it first came out at the beginning of this year. I could never bring myself to buy it with it’s hefty $65 price tag. It is labeled as Limited Edition and since I was getting a discount I decided to go for it while it’s still available.

*Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Hyaluronic Marine Dew It Right Eye Gel

I am not an eye cream girl. Eye creams are essentially racket since they are basically just a thicker form of a moisturizer. You can actually just bring your moisturizer up under your eyes- does the same thing. But, I digress. I suffer from puffiness under the eyes and have been searching for something that would help. Caroline Hirons recently mentioned this product in her July empties video on her YouTube channel and said it does wonders for under eye puffiness. So I’m going to give it a shot and see how it goes.

*Kevyn Aucoin Foundation Balm

This formula intrigues me. I have no idea how this will wear on my oily skin but I am curious enough to try it out and see, Mel Thompson reviewed this foundation on her channel and while she said it wasn’t the longest -wearing foundation the finish was beautiful. And it did look amazing on her. Of everything I purchased this is what I’m the most excited about trying.

*SuperGoop AcaiFusion Lip Balm w/SPF 30

I am a stickler about sunscreen but I’m not very good about remembering to wear a lip balm with SPF as well. This one had good reviews and was fairly reasonably priced at $9.50 so I threw it in my online cart.

Repurchases

I repurchased a couple of things that I use on a regular basis. I repurchased my Shisedio Facial Cottons, Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser and my Hourglass Caution Mascara.

Overall, I think I did pretty well and didn’t go overboard. At least not on Sephora. Now everyone else were having sales as well and I didn’t do so well on those lol. Let’s just say I will be probably be on a makeup low buy after the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty sale is over in September (it runs from September 1 to September 21). I have so much new makeup to get through. Face palm.

Are you planning on buying anything in this week’s sale? Or are you waiting for the next one in October? Let me know in the comments!
