Eight Great Eyeshadow Palettes for Spring

Eight Great Eyeshadow Palettes for Spring

We are in full Spring swing and makeup trends are as well. It’s always fo fun to watch the color palette for the seasons transition into new seasons. This season, color stories are all over the place. You can be colorful, you can be neutral and or a bit of both. I complied this list of palettes that I think are great options for the Spring makeup season.

Natasha Denona Zendo, $65

This is a new palette to the market and also newer to my collection. If you are someone who prefers more neutral “wearable” colors but also want the ability to dip your toe into color occasionally, this is a great option. The palette is the normal fantastic Natasha Denona formula and features her signature cream to powder formula, which I personally love. This is also her midi-sized palette and pans which are half the price of her full sized palettes. My current favorite way to use this palette is to take Mindful (a cream to powder) and buff that all over the eye for a rich look and then pop on a metallic on the lid like Luster or Yama.

CP-Sweet-Talk.JPG

ColourPop Sweet Talk - $18

You may have heard people rave about this palette and for good reason. This palette debuted in 2018 and have been. cult fave ever since. First off the formula is fantastic. All of the mattes blend beautifully and layer well. The metallics range from bright and impactful, to soft and beautiful. It’s a perfect everyday palette that you can use to create neutral looks or pump it up a bit with metallics. This is a great palette for someone who is curious about color but wants to stick with softer tones. And it’s under $20.

Kaleidos-Lunar-Lavendar.JPG

Kaleidos Lunar Lavender - $24

Like Sweet Talk, Lunar Lavender from Kaleidos is a great option if you want the option of neutral and colorful. What I love about this palette besides the color story and formula - Kaleidos has one of the best eyeshadow formulas on the market today - is the size. With only six pans you won’t be overwhelmed with options. The number of looks you can do is more limited but that can sometimes be a good thing if you struggle with putting colors together.

Give Me Glow Cosmetics Pastel Dreams - $54

And now we venture into the palettes that are for the people who love color and want to play. And also love pastels! I am always so wary of pastel eyeshadows because they are notoriously hard to formulate. And they don’t usually work one deeper skin tones. But this palette…checks both of those boxes. If you’ve been looking for your perfect pastel palette this one is an amazing option. It is currently sold out, but Give me Glow posts updates on their Instagram regularly about restocks and you can sign up for their newsletter to be emailed about them.

Kaleidos-Flower-Punk.JPG

Kaleidos Flower Punk Palette - $36

Another Kaleidos palette, and their most recent release. I love the uniqueness of this color story. You can go bright and colorful or you can do swampy smokey green - or a bit of both. While very bold it is actually s pretty versatile palette. I recently received mine and it’s even prettier in person.

Natasha-Denona-Mini-Retro.png

Natasha Denona Mini Retro - $25

Another small and cute palette. In my recent ranking of my Natasha Denona palettes, this one ranked ranked high. It’s a small but mighty little palette. It works well as a one shade all over the eye with one of the shimmer on the lid or in the inner corner. With five shades again you won’t get a ton of variety. But like I said above, variety isn’t alway necessary.

ABH-Soft-Glam.JPG

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam - $45

This one is an oldie but a goodie. I ranked this as my second favorite palette for ABH. And it’s one of the few palettes I have ever hit pan on. If you want a comprehensive neutral palette that you can use everyday and special occasions, this is the palette for you. I don’t have a ton to say about this palette that hasn’t already been said, since it’s been around for quite awhile. There are tons of reviews, tutorials, etc on Youtube and Pinterest and if you’re considering buying this palette, I say take a look at those.

ColourPop Limoncello - $18

At last but not least is the only palette on this list that I do not own. And I’ve been trying to talk myself out of it because I honestly don’t need it. I have so much makeup that I could probably dupe the color story by pairing a few palettes together. But I still want it. It’s just so…pretty. The color story, the theme…it’s a beautiful spring palette. And all of the reviews for it that I’ve seen have been positive. It’s not a groundbreaking color story, but something about the shades that grab me. The yellows are the perfect tones, the golds, that dusky blue…yeah…I’m probably going to buy it. *Insert shoulder shrug. So was this just a way to talk myself into buying? Maybe. But I also think it’s a fantastic palette for spring.
